In a large bowl whisk egg, add salt, pepper, garlic and basil. mix well. Stir in ricotta and bread crumbs. Add the ground beef and gently fork through until well mixed.
Hand shape into patties that fit the buns you have. Using a kitchen scale, just divide the meat into equal portions.
Grill or fry the patties until cooked. (a cast iron skillet is ideal)Serve on buns or rolls of your choice.Using your favourite toppings, enjoy.

This recipe can also be used to make a delicious meat loaf. Simply shape into a greased loaf pan. Place the loaf pan on a baking sheet in the oven and bake at 350℉ for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Internal temperature should be 160℉. Let stand 10 minutes, slice and serve.Calories are based on a 3 oz patty (bun not incl.)
