Moms Tea Biscuits

Light and fluffy tea biscuits with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • cup sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  • Add milk to flour mixture and mix until just wet.
  • On a floured cutting board, turn out batter. Dust top of batter with flour and pat down until approx. 1" thick.
    Using a water glass as a dough cutter, dip it in flour and then into batter, rotating to cut discs.   
  • Place biscuits on a greased pan. Brush with a mixture of 1 tbsp. milk and 1 tbsp sugar. 
  • Bake at 425℉ for 20 minutes until brown.
